Marshall McLuhan always kept half of each of his projects secret.
So, the less-talked about were his “take-off” games.
McLuhan would occasionally ask on the Monday Night discussions what would be a “take-off” on somebody, as opposed to a “put-on”.
When Marshall McLuhan composed the following books - think of it as "duelling Generals" representing tribes or regions in the Middle Ages—he was taking-off on:
