Marshall McLuhan: The "Put On" vs. The "Take Off"

I don’t think there are any McLuhanites alive who might have known the following:

Marshall McLuhan always kept half of each of his projects secret.

So, the less-talked about were his “take-off” games.

McLuhan would occasionally ask on the Monday Night discussions what would be a “take-off” on somebody, as opposed to a “put-on”.
