Caller: So iON, beyond the fact that Hawaii is right in the middle of the Pacific Plate and it’s surrounded by the Ring of Fire, and there’re no landmasses on that plate, what am I not considering or what are we not considering about the Pacific Plate?
iON: The other edge of the Caldera.
Caller: On the other side?
iON: On this side!
Caller: I guess scientists have estimated that the deepest part of the ocean is about 7 miles, and you’ve kind of lead us to believe that there’s so much that’s not discovered in the ocean. Is it much - much deeper than that?
iON: 164 kilometers! {about 102 miles - Ed.}
Caller: And where?
iON: And that’s in the Pacific! In the Pacific!
