Marshall McLuhan to Parker Tyler | 10 September 1969

Parker Tyler was a well-known and innovative American film critic. McLuhan cited him often in his media studies in the 40s.

Frances Steloff was the famous founder of New York City's Gotham Book Mart (1920-2007), which became a center for avant-garde literature and literati. T.S. Eliot became an associate of her store in the late 40s.

My Finnegans Wake Society of New York met there every two weeks from 1991 to 2005.
