Peter Newman to Marshall McLuhan | April-May 1969

Peter Newman went on to become one of Canada's most famous journalists and authors.

In this series of letters we see that Newman couldn't thrive without regular input from McLuhan. Newman knew where the sparkling wine was.

And we also learn that McLuhan's famous trip (at the invite of Claude Bissell, President of the University of Toronto) to the exclusive Bilderberg conference in May, 1969, was joined by Canada's Prime Minister, Pierre Elliott Trudeau.

We never knew about Trudeau's attendance because the list of attendees was never given to the Press ever, back in the day before the Global Goldfish Bowl took over.
