iON | Difference between Emotion and Passion

Transcribed by Bert.

iON: There’s a difference between “emotion” and “passion”. Passion can be an emotion - but emotion is not passion. You can emote to go extraneously beyond a conditional response - extraneously beyond a conditional response, or sometimes a repose. What that means is - that sometimes it drives you to a new different place - a different feeling place. Get in your “Giddy-up” - sometimes that’ll get you there - where otherwise it wouldn’t sometimes. Well, that emotional response can drive you closer to a persnickety position. And so, when you are talking about passion, you are talking about an extenuation of a feeling place that you usher. And, if your music does that to you - and for you - grand, how wonderful - but if it takes that to get you there - then it may not be enough - that’s the difference between “passion” and “emotion”.
