Payday

[2 May 2015 Part 1]

(36:08 mark)
Dr. Dean: iON, I wanted to ask about the April 18th PayDay, a Caller asked something, and you gave what seemed to be a new formula, but you said, “He 2S2 2P2”. So I realized later that you were naming the electron subshells. It wasn’t an “S” for Sulphur or “P” for phosphorus.

iON: Right!

Dr. Dean: So anyway, He 2S2 2P2, is that the isotope He4 that you are talking about?

iON: Yeah, mostly!

Dr. Dean: Because helium is number 2 on the atomic scale, so an isotope of 4 would give us 2 electrons in the “S” subshell and 2 in the “P” subshell. So, being mostly a helium 4, are you implying or saying that there’s another helium isotope that’s going to manifest or come about?

iON: Yes! Yes! The osmium!

Dr. Dean: The osmium! Oh!

Bob: What is the coming about? What comes - a new mineral? What did you say is the noun?

Dr. Dean: Is there a new helium isotope that’s coming about? And iON said, “Yes”, osmium. Let’s look up osmium. It’s a chemical element with the symbol Os, atomic number 76. It is a hard, brittle, bluish-white transition metal. So, there’s the transition. In the platinum group that’s found as a trace element in alloys, mostly in platinum ores. So, we’ve talked about this in terms of Coldplay. Is this just kind of a nod to what’s happening?

iON: It’s what’s becoming.
