Portal, Gate, Rift continuum the outlet by which parallel and other Worlds are connected. A means of egress especially regarding relativity. The solid vector as reflecting experience past, present, and future. Portals can take smaller things like people or groups of people…Gates can take larger things like war ships. Other than that, there is no difference.
